Chef Matías Vega, vice-president of the Association of Chefs and Pastry Chefs of Córdoba (ACORECO) and founding member of the Cofradía del Salmorejo Cordobés, and his wife Mari Carmen, a cook specialized in Cordovan, Andalusian and Spanish recipes in general, were the first to open the doors of Mesón Restaurante Casa Matías in 1996.
But with Alcazaba de las Torres they expand the concept of restoration, as they add the 6 tourist apartments, summer terrace, and a wedding and congress hall with a capacity of 500 people. The restaurant also serves tasting menus.
