Finca Los Conventos Rural House

Finca Los Conventos Rural House is a rural estate located in Adamuz, between Sierra Morena and the Guadalquivir. A place full of history, where the first human traces are distributed by different caves with archaeological sites such as those of the cave of Cañaveralejo, as well as human and ceramic remains belonging to the end of the V millennium BC.

The Rural House Finca Los Conventos is a typical Andalusian farmhouse, which has a capacity for 20 people.

The house has 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, living room with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen with barbecue, a large dining room, two large patios, garden, swimming pool and hunting lodge where you can enjoy a billiard, board games and a small library.

Pets are allowed and parking is available.

Rural House Los Conventos – The surroundings

The farm Los Conventos is located in the middle of the Mediterranean forest, in a land without trees and flat, marshy, located between mountains where two splendid peaks emerge. These peaks can be accessed by a wide staircase built with noble materials, originally from the monks, where you can enjoy olive trees at the bottom of the slopes and a large Mediterranean forest on the tops, refuge of animals such as wild boars and deer.

It is an area where there is a large protected fauna with species such as genet, weasel, wild cat, mongoose, griffon, griffon vulture, Bonelli’s eagle, short-toed eagle, goshawk, eagle owl and bee-eater. A pair of Bonelli’s eagles nests on the farm, where a hide has been permanently installed for their observation..

The environment of Finca Los Conventos is a unique and exceptional place for the practice of outdoor activities such as hiking, wildlife viewing and visits to the farm and livestock. A visit to the ruins of the convent, the cave of the rams and the route around the Guadalmellato reservoir should not be missed during your visit.

Activities and experiences

To make your rural visit even more special, the farm has multiple activities and services for the enjoyment of guests:

• Starlight Destination: Sierra Morena is the largest Starlight Reserve and Tourist Destination in the world, recognized by UNESCO. The climate of the community with clear skies, transparent with no light pollution is ideal for night observation of the sky. 
• GR-48: “Sendero de Sierra Morena”, runs for 590 km through the provinces of Huelva, Seville, Cordoba and Jaen. Stage 21 features the Guadalmellato Dam – Adamuz, passing through the old Obejo road that borders the Los Conventos estate.
• Hides: enjoy the Bonelli’s Eagle. A hide has been permanently installed on the farm for the observation of a pair of Bonelli’s eagles that nest in the area.
• Hiking: the company Senderos de Córdoba organizes guided tours of the farm. The team of professionals tells the historical facts that are attributed to this unique place where Kings and prominent figures of the Church, such as San Francisco Solano, have passed through.
• Hunting: the country where the estate is located makes it possible to hunt almost all year round. Los Conventos celebrates two days of big game hunting every year, since it has an enclosed area.
• Fishing: the proximity of the Guadalmellato and San Rafael de Navallana reservoirs make the estate an exceptional place to rest after a day of fishing.
• Almazara Hidalmen: during the olive harvesting season, you can visit it to learn about the process of obtaining the oil.
