La Berrea in Córdoba: a tourist attraction during the months of September and October.

The rutting rut is no longer just a sexual attraction used by the deer for mating at this time of year, but has become an added tourist attraction in the municipalities of the Sierra de Córdoba.

The first autumn rains in the province of Cordoba usually mark the rutting season in the Sierra. The male deer think only of procreating and challenge each other, with prolonged bellows that can be heard for miles around, to get the best harem and share as much of their genetic material as possible.
